Just dropped my 16 year old sopne off at a place called The Chance Theatre for an ABR concert...was gonna go with him but my ears can't withstand a small venue (dump?) like that...so I'm parked across the street watching examples of god's sense of humor (or spite) shuffle aimlessly by. Tourette's guy is the best...dude walking back and forth shouting "F-CK" and twitching every few seconds. Went looking for a place to buy a couple of cold ones and thought I time-warped into in a Gears of War level.

My parents used to live in Hyde Park, and the first time I took my now wife up to see them there, she referred to Poughkeepsie as "puff-kipsie." It was the hip-hop pronunciation.

Po-Vegas? Tree City USA? I went to Marist and spent 4 fine years there. Po-Town actually has some beautiful areas- drive about 2 miles from the Chance over to the area around Vassar. But that downtown area is ****e.
