WTF?

not that it matters in the least what Adam Schefter says...but WTF? am i the only one that thought Coples had the best preseason out of all of these guys? is Coples ommited because he is the only one on that list not on a team with unlimited playing time potential?

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/page/...hefter-10-spot

4. A rookie rush: While the spotlight continues to shine on rookie quarterbacks, it would be a mistake to overlook rookie pass-rushers. Last season, five rookies -- Aldon Smith in San Francisco, Von Miller in Denver, Adrian Clayborn in Tampa Bay, Jabaal Sheard in Cleveland and Marcell Dareus in Buffalo -- led their teams in sacks. Now, just as rookie quarterbacks are poised to shine again this season, rookie pass-rushers look as if they're going to do the same. A handful of rookies exploded onto the scene during organized team activities and the preseason, including New England's Chandler Jones, San Diego's Melvin Ingram, Houston's Whitney Mercilus and Seattle's Irvin. Nobody should be surprised if any -- or all -- of these players leads his team in sacks this season. And although quarterback play is the most important factor in determining who reaches the Super Bowl, the second-most important just might be a team's pass rush. Rookies will matter here.

On first glance, yes, wtf.

Coples was beasting in Preseason.

Let the media have it. In my time as a fan, the Jets usually play well when they fly under the radar.

Irvin on that list is funny - he didn't even register a tackle let alone a sack until the 4th preseason game against 3rd stringers.

I am glad Coples is getting no attention.

Why do we need the approval of the media? The game is played on the field, not in the newspapers and blogs.

The fans of other teams are sick and tired of hearing about the Jets every hour, on every NFL program, they don't stop. Coples will fly under the radar until the end of the season when other teams' fans start talking about him.

Mercilus is absolutely not leading that team in sacks this year. Zero chance and it's dumb **** to write.

Also, Schefter killed the Jets for not taking Ingram or Jones over Coples. So if he puts Coples on this list that means he is stating that he was wrong about the Jets pick.

Its hysterical how the media looks for anything negative about the jets to write about at the same time they will ignore all the positives.

Wasn't it Coples who whined to Rex he had to stay in a game and play with the second teamers?

Great Scott ! Talk about someone who is motivated and loves football

Same reason why nobody in the media knows who Mo Wilkerson is - they don't like the Jets and don't know **** about football. And the same thing even happened with Revis, not that Wilk or Coples will be a player like is, but during his rookie year his talent was so obvious, so glaring, and he didn't get any respect for another year or two.
