Santonio Who?
He'd better realize he's expendable. Let's see if he finds something to run his mouth about, or if he decides to keep it shut.

He was a huge part of the offense today. Far from expendable.
Not a well thought out post. |

dump.
Holmes played great. Sanchez missed him badly on a wide open play, where he might have scored if he made one juke. Also that play where he got both feet in was as acrobatic as it gets. Instinct prevented the TD cuz he didnt want to faceplant into the turf, but I thought Santonio was very good today. |

My point is, that Hill and Kerley played out of their minds....I didn't say that Holmes played poorly, he just better keep his pie hole shut when he's not getting the glory. It's more his attitude I'm worried about, not his skills.
Well thought out post, and yes I'm happy. |

Why this?
Best opener since '97, and someone even thinks to post this (inaccurate) garbage? How expendable would Santonio be if his right leg came down a half second earlier than his left hand and he came down with a circus catch for a TD? |

Just a matter of time til this cat starts getting *****y and moany again...I can see it happening.
Good news: Kerley and Hill seem decently legit. |

I have problem with "Tone's" attitude when things aren't going well, but he played very well today. And his presence is the reason why Kerley and Hill had single coverage on their TDs.
He's the only receiver that commands a double team right now, though that may change by the end of the year if Hill keeps making plays down the field. If that does happen, that's just going to make Holmes more dangerous. |

It may happen, it may not. I was happy to see Hill and Kerley play well, but a lot of their success is going to be aided by Holmes and Keller being the focal points for oposing defenses. They took advantage today, and if they can continue to do so, our offense has a chance to be much better than expected.

I don't get it we have a big win on opening day and people still complain about Holmes.
Holmes played well and we will need him if we want to go to the playoffs, I might not like his personality but he can be a heck of a WR for us. Enjoy the win .... Stop complaining!!!! |

That said, he was good today. And that non-TD catch was superb. Any receiver would have braced for the fall like Tone did. |

Wow...Holmes was a substantial part of the success of the offense today. Not everything he did was even in the boxscore. Just because Hill and Kerley did well today doesn't come anywhere near making Holmes expendeble. The fact that pretty much everyone has disagreed at least makes me feel like sanity rules in the majority.
