He needs to STFU with his "hands to the face" comments. You're the highest paid defensive player and did nothing against a first time starter. He's just embarrassed.

They meet again at the end of the season. By then Howard should have much more experience. Williams sounds like a cry baby!

Mike Lombardi actually hinted at this on Bill Simmons' podcast. He called Williams a "sacker." He gets his sacks, but he doesn't cause disruption on a regular basis like Ware and JPP do.

I said the same in another thread. For a guy who people call a sack artist he's hit double digit sack totals twice in 6 seasons. With a high of only 14. I get that he's a good all around player but he's not a force that makes you worry to the point of fear like some tried to make him.

Two things.

1: Coples dragged down Spiller for a loss, and laid a mean hit on Fitztragic. Don't act like he did nothing.

Never really noticed any egregious infractions on the part of Howard. Maybe that's because you only notice things like that when the OL doesn't keep protection. I have the game DVR'd, so I'll look at it closer over the week. For me, Austin Howard did a great job. Whenever you don't notice the RT, he must've done a good job. Legal or illegal, the Jets should take it and run.

I saw Howard swat him on helmet, from arms length, on one play. The impact was loud enough to be heard over the regular noise of the play. I was surprised (and pleased) a flag wasn't thrown.

I'm liking Austin Howard.
