Jets projected for second most wins in AFC accd. to FootballOutsiders

problem as always is it would only net us the no. 5 seed, the dreaded...

http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/playoffodds

teams that score as much as 34 offensive pts in the first game generally have good seasons... if we win in PIT at +6, let us dream, for now, let us wallow and stay grounded...

Not surprising. The Patsies still take care of business better during the regular season. I also do not believe the Jets have the horses to take the division.

The 2011 offseason really seems to have cost this team. We are still stuck with John Conner after Tony Richardson retiring. That's men and boys difference right there. And many others makes me think that in the end the Jets are a playoff team, but a one and done playoff team.

NY's stepchild
Here's hoping that GS3 under center, and Coples on the edge works out.

It's week 1. They don't factor in strength of opponent until week 5 I think. Beating a division opponent gives you the biggest boost, and our schedule is very weak. Almost everyone on it lost. We also jumped from 50% chance of making the playoffs to 75%.

Look at their schedule. The NFC East drew the AFC North and NFC South this yera. With the Redskins beating the Saints (and having beaten the Giants twice last year) you can look at the Giants' schedule and find a grand total of 3 "easy" games, if you consider Tampa and at Cam Newton to be easy. If not, then it's just Cleveland. And they all come in the first 5 weeks. Week 6 begins 12 weeks of hell:

Dallas
Tampa Bay
@Carolina
@Philly
Cleveland

@San Francisco
Washington
@Dallas
Pittsburgh
@Cincinnati
Green Bay
@Washington
New Orleans
@Atlanta
@Baltimore
Philly

nice, we have a chance to go 15-1 this season. there's also the same chance of there being a Ryan bowl (NYJ vs. DAL) as there is a Harbaugh bowl (BAL vs. SF)
