Staying in and not downing Patron at the bar would probably be the more mature move.

Having had a few concussions over the years, and then post concussive syndrome after the last one I know the first thing the docs tell you is to avoid alcohol and other drugs until you fully recover.

This guy is a professional athlete, he should know that if his body isn't functioning, those big contracts will go away real fast......But it is his choice.

I recall that loud noises bothered me for weeks, even after the rest of the symptoms went away. Going to a club only a week after the injury probably won't really hurt his recovery, but it sure won't help it.

WHich would lead one to conclude...if you were a cynic...is that the fargin guy is fine and is playing the Jets and screwing us morons who watch them play and have countless years emotionally invested in the team...because of more contract histrionics, like SAR alluded to.

Great player, but the guy is a total a-hole. The reason he hasn't been cleared to play is because he doesn't want to play. He has total control over whether or not he passes the concussion tests. How is Greene cleared to play after a helmet to helmet collision after which he was seen stumbling and almost fell down on the field, yet Revis isn't cleared a week and a half after nicked him with his foot. I'm pretty sure this is all a Revis contract message. Hope I'm wrong. Either way, Revis is a jerk.
You still dont have a f*****g clue about concussions do you?

Neither does Revis apparently...he is, against Dr.'s advice...out of his home...and drinking alcohol. This...is what fuels the raised eyebrows and cynicism here.

Relax dude.

Actually, after reading the NFL concussion memo, it says very plainly that it is important that players not drink alcohol while recovering, so hopefully he wasn't really boozing.

First, you have no idea what his doctors orders were, second, he was cleared for non contact activity. There are no adverse effects from alcohol at this point.

I do agree it does not look good for him though. Total lack of any common sense.

has anyone seen the medical report on revis? does it actually say whats being insinuated? bed rest, feetie pajamas. warm milk seriously? the nfl and goodell are a joke when it comes to important stuff and quite frankly i think the concussion rules are above and beyond whats really needed.

LOL

Im thinking maybe if you add like an ounce of OJ it would be ok. Tequila + grapefruit just sounds to acidic for me.

Add a splash of sprite or 7up and it is a decent drink.

And you....know this.

Why take the chance physically....and why so publicly "party" while your teamates are out there battling.

Perhaps.....he knew he was fine....and is THAT arrogant.

We're throwing aroung ideas here....since its obviously confounding.

I go to networking events with professionals on a regular basis and I assure you that Executives go to bars when they are not working.

He didnt play because he was not allowed to play. Its not like he called into work saying he had the flu.

Lets not make this more than it is.

He's not allowed to play...based on what he communicated to the Doctors....from what I've heard.

Considering his history......
