Can we be honest about the Owner & Tebow?

Tebow was really brought here to eventually become the Jets starting quarterback. Our owner is in love with him for reasons that I can't go into without getting the thread moved to the political forum. Why show little confidence in Sanchez? Why throw away half a million on a bonus given to Drew Stanton the second Tebow becomes available? Why the latest story about the CS throwing Sanchez under the bus publicly?


Yeah, yeah. Same ol' party line "Tebow was brought in to take da Giants off da backpage." Not saying that wasn't part of the reason why but you know Tebow is intended to become the face of this franchise.


For those of you who don't think Woody wants Tebow to start: The Jacksonville Jaguars showed more confidence in Blaine friggin Gabbert than our CS showed in Sanchez.

So because the coaching staff showed less confidence in Sanchez than the Jaguars apparently did with Gabbert that means the owner wants Tebow to become the starting quarterback?

Uh yeah.


Gabbert did nothing but look like a bust his rookie year yet the Jags were less enthusiastic about getting Tebow than the Jets were - which is why Tebow chose the Jets over the Jags when Denver's FO offered him the choice.

Good point. Out of 32 NFL teams, 29 completely passed on Tebow, 1 desperately tried to unload him and 1, who had a struggling rookie qb and bad attendance that would have gone through the roof in Northern Florida, was meh about getting Tebow.

Cue Woody.
