You need to pay attention to the games, bro!

Don't think Byrd should get in on talent. Does Chrebet hold a Jets record? I think he has a receiving record of some sort.

There's NO reason to delay the process. Start Geno Smith.

Nope.

There's a Dennis Byrd day against Miami, where they'll be retiring his #90 I believe.

Doubt he'll be one of the two.

Wesley for sure. Powell belongs as well, but I think they'd put Lyons in before him.

The day Kenny O is in the ring of honor is the day it becomes a joke, like the Yankees' retired numbers.

Powell was a heck of a lot better at his position than Marty...Not even close

He was a five time pro bowler between 1977 and 1983.

OK, I thought retiring the number meant Ring of Honor.

Hopefully Chrebet is one of them. Jets all-time leader in receptions, and I don't see that being broken anytime soon.

Agreed. Powell would not be a sexy pick, but he was one of the best at his position for many years. Only other possibilities I can think of are: Gastineau, Eric McMillan, Walker, Toon, Chrebet, Mo Lewis, McNiel (beat Jet RB ever). I'm not familiar with anyone that played before 1983, so very well might be a player from the 70s as well.

No argument. As I said, Powell belongs. I just think from a fan's point of view, Marty has been more visible in the organization since he retired. That's why I think they'd put him first. Plus he was associated with the Sack Exchange, which a lot of people remember fondly.

Chrebet would be another consideration...he is the second (I believe) leading receiver for the NYJ all time.

That's not saying much. There are tight ends in the league that play for 6 years and end up with more catches than Wayne had...
