Cutch for MVP?
What do you guys think? First time in a long time baseball has been relevant in the Burgh. Leader in avg and top three in all triple crown categories. Not used to thinking about baseball after the break. Is he as good as I think?

Easily. The runaway winner right now. He's putting up sick stats, and it's not like he has a ton of protection in that lineup

Andrew McCutchen and Austin Jackson were both in the minors around the same time, a lot of the prospect evaluators like Keith Law thought they were comparable players, great defense and will hit enough to be "All-Stars", neither were projected to have much power. Obviously they were wrong about the power when it comes McCutchen.

Taking a 102mph fastball without a flinch. Tough as nails competitor. Watch for some retaliation tonight. Zoltan!

If Pittsburgh makes the playoffs, he has to be the MVP.
If not, he still has a pretty good case but I think they will give it to someone else... maybe Posey or Holliday (if StL makes it) |

I agree. A .373 avg in August is no joke either

Beltran is leading the league in RBIs just saying. lol I wouldn't say anyone is a run away at this point. Braun when all is said and done will likely lead the league in HRs, RBIs, and Runs. With a .316 BA it will be hard to deny him.

Cutch is close in every category. Can't see him not winning it. Might be the best player in both leagues.

Buster Posey would get my vote. .337-24-100 on the season, but .389-13-57 since the break.

Im sorry, but if you go as long as the Pirates have without having a winning record, you shouldn't be a franchise anymore.

5 years vs 20 here. And besides, if the mets don't post a winning record once in the next 15 years I would fully support them not being a franchise. 20 years of a losing record is just insane, MLB needs to have a higher standard than that.
