Monday night we should bombard the Jets sideline with bags of M&Ms.
When Rex lost the weight it may have affected his thought process.
Now that he is thinner he sounds like a pu**y during his press conferences.

I always supported Rex, but after losing the locker room last season and realizing he's lacking some skills a HC needs I'm heading to say 'no'.

I still cannot decide if he's more to blame than Tanny - or even Woody.

I'm usually never a person to jump to any rash conclusions about this team, but like Paulie said, it's become obvious now what Rex is and what he brings to the table. He was hailed as this defensive genius, but really, where has that been for the last two seasons? Hell, even in 2009, when we boasted the No. 1 unit, the defense was still blowing leads and failed to get that crucial stop.

I'm sure he's a very bright defensive mind that may need better pieces to work with, but when your defense -- the one you've boasted about over and over -- can't tackle, can't cover, can't stop the run and can't fix the problems, it's a reflection of poor coaching.

Rex seems like a helluva guy to get a beer with and someone you'd love to call a friend, but that rarely if ever translates in this league.

To admit to losing the pulse of the team, vowing to correct the mistakes, and then having the opposition claim the Jets quit, just four weeks into the season, says A LOT about Rex and the reflection cast upon the club.

I'll probably be called a chicken little by the homer brigade, but I just don't see Ryan ever taking the Jets to a Super Bowl. 2010 was the best shot and that window slammed shut. Depending on how this season plays out, it may be time to see what someone else can do. It's unfortunate, considering we all hailed Rex and kissed his feet (no pun intended) for the last few years, but that's the NFL -- a stone cold business.

I'm on the fence too. I saw so much of what this team needed in a Head Coach during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Not just because they made it to two AFCCGs but more because we were strong on both sides of the ball, we attacked and we imposed our will on other teams. The Jets were PROACTIVE on offense (run it against opponents when they knew we were going to run it) and dictated things on defense (blitzing, attacking). Rex's teams were better at the end of the season than at the beginning. The win in New England was probably the 3rd best victory in the history of the Jets franchise. Rex outcoached Belichick and dismantled and befuddled Tom Brady that day.

So what happened? Well, we clearly don't have the bullets in the gun (personnel) at two key places - offensive skill positions.....(goodbye Thomas Jones, goodbye LT, goodbye Braylon, no Cotchery, no Keller so far this season, etc.) and linebackers (they were old and slow LAST YEAR. They are back again this year).

I'm not sure whether to blame Rex or not. He's clearly not doing a very good job but I can't imagine a guy falls off a cliff like that.

Question - If we didn't have the Wayne Hunter problem and the downgrade at WR to Plaxico, would the Jets have been a 10 win team instead of an 8 win team last year?

Would Rex be 3 for 3 as a HC going to the playoffs? I'm not sure but I think it's possible.

The Jets were looking GREAT up until about halftime in Week 2 this year. The Jets had totally dominated Buffalo and then were winning in Pitt until Sanchez got hit in the head. The Jets have been trying to tread water ever since. Take Revis and Holmes away and I'm not sure that anyone will be able to be fairly assessed except for Tannenbaum's mismanagement.

I'm not off the Rex bandwagon yet....athough I'm surrounded by a lot of empty seats. I reluctantly voted yes.

Agree with that 100%.

It's also possible that the loss of Revis has the Safeties much more concerned about the passing game and less able to support stopping the run. But that's no excuse. You have to be able to stop the run with 7 guys.

9-7 (with 2 bag jobs) 9-7 8-8

26-22 in 3 years.. 2 miraculous play off runs but a slightly over 500 regular season record..Those are the facts. If you run a loose ship..well..Coughlin-Belichick-Cowher multiple Bowl winners..none a "players coach" I just don't think that approach works long term in the NFL..Shula-Landry Lombardi-Noll..etc..etc

At the end of last season Rex told everyone that he didn't have the pulse of the team. At the start of this season, 1 off season later Rex told everyone this was the best team he ever had.

Before Revis and Holmes went down, this team was awful on defense and offense.

How is it that between the end of last season and the begining of this season Rex still doesn't has the pulse of the team.

The Guy is clueless and worse, Lying to himself. We should cut ties now , or as soon as posssible. This team has a bye at the perfect time and it would give a real HC enough time to salvage this season. At 3-2 we have 3 games before the bye and enough time to get this team going in the right direction .

Right now I see the major problem of this team is conditioning! It is obvious too. Revis and Holmes both out with non contact injuries adds to my point. This team would have blown the Buffalo lead if there was another quarter left! They start well as they did in Pittsburgh and they could have been within a few points against the 49ers at the half too. Now Rex says they were tired. NO SH%#!! They are all out of shape period!!! Bad Coaching period!!!!!

So wait a minute....Since 2009 and including this year, Rex is 28-24 and Tom Coughlin is 29 - 23. Those are the facts.

Tom Coughlin also has a Pro Bowl QB to work with!

YES LETS REPLACE THE WINNIGEST COACH IN TEAM HISTORY WITH A BLOOD LINE TO THE TEAMS EARLY SUPER BOWL How about we have a losing season first then look at options 8 and 8 is not losing 1 and 15 is losing lets remember where we came from and where we are at now with expectations. i expect to make the playoffs this year and wont accept anything less that said fireing the front office every time there is a 7 and 9 season is why we havent won a super bowl in 40 years the team need stability in coaches and front office look to the steelers the eagles the giants as positive examples and look at the cowboys dolphins bills and other of constant turnover. everyone off the ledge put the razor blade down this season could go down the bowl fast but lets not go insane here. Lets go and cheer our team on lets get a home playoff game and win it all and if not have fun and enjoy the game and fresh air thanks

Talking REX FAILING AS HEAD COACH. TEAM IN DECLINE.

= I. too, had high hopes for Rex after the boring Mangini. BUT, under Rex the players are not in top condition; Linebackers are slow, have not stopped the run since Kris Jenkins was here. So I would vote that Rex is not a quality head coach..... and what little success he had at first was with leftover Mangini players.
