He has done well developing Dalton, I will say that. But Gruden only has a good track record for the last 2 years. There's not much more in the guy's resume. Arena Football League ???
He is more qualified then mangini and edwards when they were hired.

There's NO reason to delay the process. Start Geno Smith.

Anyone who has worked under Ozzie Newsome would be a great choice. However, he was also part of the team that didn't want to hire Rex Ryan as the Ravens HC, so does Ryan stay or go?

I think Ryan would go. He is part of the problem.

Absolutely, but not limited to the Ravens front office personnel. The GM search could also include Giants and Steelers.

Also whoever's the #2 under Ted Thompson in Green Bay. That guy has done a fantastic job.

IIRC, the #2 in GB left for OAK last year to be their GM. Wasn't it Reggie McKenzie?

Polian built the Bills, the panthers and the colts. He has a solid track record. Whoever they chose would have to be a hard ass who will tell the coach who his players are going to be and then tell him to coach them. not be a chum of the coach and do what the coach wants.

This would be the best scenario our franchise has had since Parcells came aboard in 97.
That would be the dream scenario.

One question - What does it mean when you've been with the Ravens for 17 years but working in the NFL for only 15? That seems backwards to me.
Because he is magic! If he can do this, imagine the possibilities .

Now if Gruden is hired and I believe the offense will be in good hands. Who will run the defense?

That should give him a leg up over everyone else since Goodell is intent on turning the NFL into the Arena League.... Neglect defense, contact, practice, etc.
