Look around at the trades that have gone down in this league & Revis for a #1 & a player to a team on the verge of winning a Superbowl is a no brainer.
Sometimes the body doesn't heal like one would like. It's not always a matter of will and attitude. And given his salary demands, and the fact that most good teams are never just ONE player away from winning a SB, don't be so sure that GMs will line up to mortgage their future to retain a 28 year old CB coming off major injury who likes to renege on his exorbitant contracts every 2 or 3 years.

Ok, that's a good point about his contract demands & reneging on his contracts.
But, that's a huge headline for that a guy like Jones would love to have if Revis proves his health.

Jones just 'roped in' Carr and Claiborne, this isn't Madden or fantasy football. You don't just give away the best CB in the game, Jets fans will learn this season just how valuable #24 is.

We won't be giving him away
What's the point of having the highest paid corner on a rebuilding team?
Makes absolutely no sense
People still underestimate what a team might give up for Revis
John Abraham garnered 2 first rounders
Get over the 2 AFCCGs
This teams a shell of that team

No mention of how Jones wouldn't 'rope in' Revis along with Carr and Claiboure?

Abe got us one first round pick, not two.

Dog ate your homework?

I understand the team looks like a train wreck, but addition by subtraction doesn't make sense. This team still has some relatively young, good players.

Few posters on this board really appreciate what Revis is able to do in a league that throws flags for breathing on receivers the wrong way. In the past you could man handle a receiver to prevent a catch, Revis guards #1s all game and usually lets up a stat line of 3 catches for 22 yards.

I'm tired of no-nothing fans saying Revis gets away with holding. They say that because of ONE game in which Brandon Marshall was mugging Revis all game too. The Refs were letting them get at each other go at it.

If Revis gets traded it will be one of the worst moves this franchise has ever made.

If we could have traded Revis for Aaron Rodgers or a similarly talented QB, we would all be on board. But its not like having Revis is keeping us from getting a stud QB.

The jets got one 1st the 27th pick for Abe which they turned into Mangold.

Revis is going into his contract year and suffered a ACL, Revis is pure business personified. To get a max contract in 2014 he will need a great 2013 season. He will not rush back from this injury next off season. no one is going to trade for an injured player and extend him.

With the need for at least 8 starting players including QB and RB you want to spend 17 million a year on a CB when that CB can at least garner a 1st round pick?
