Can someone remind me when the last time we had a good pass rush?
I was just trying to remember when the Jets last had a great pass rush without blitzing too much. Has it been that long ?

Yes, their was John Abraham, but when he was out of the line-up (which was often) their was no rush. |

We've had good players at these positions. But the last time we had all of them at once was 01-02.
QB - Vinnie Testaverde & Chad Pennington RB - Curtis Martin WR - Laverneus Coles & Santana Moss LB - Mo Lewis & Marvin Jones |

2009. They didn't really have any pure pass rushers on the team, but at the time Rex's blitzes were causing havoc for the opponents (other than the last drive of the game down by 1 score in a few different games). On the whole that 09 defense absolutely stuffed teams, and at the time most of us probably figured that Rex was so good that that's what our defense was going to be like for years to come. They still haven't come up with a premier pass rusher, but now the difference is that Rex's schemes can't always overcome that deficiency as they did that year.
