Because he says sh¡t like this, generates headlines and potentially draws in a broader demographic.

But can't you see the cards just lining up? Imagine we get this as our QBing for the next 3 seasons:

2012: Sanchez
2013: Sanchez/Tebow (after Tebow replaces struggling Sanchez in week 9)
2014: Tebow

Where this was once a joke to say now is coming closer to a reality. An absolute laughing stock we've become. There is no one that takes the JETS seriously except a few delusional fans.

Probably correct...I still don't see why Woody doesn't see that statements like that can't be good long term.

I don't think he thinks "Jets long term", I think he thinks "Woody long term".

Tebow's contract runs through 2014. "@Phil_Falardeau: @BobGlauber That's a weird thing to say. Why exactly three years?"

In CNBC interview, Woody Johnson also expressed support for Mark Sanchez. Said bottom line is winning, not stats.
And there you have it folks.

There is no doubt now who oredered the trade for Tebow. Even if Tannenbaum is fired, the new GM will be instructed to keep Tebow around. Utterly depressing.

This man is putting my Jets fandom to the test. He doesn't know jack * about football, always saying "he'll be here a while" about everybody. I can only hope this turns out to be a word show, just like everything else that's ever come out his mouth regarding the team.
