Ocean City MD got hammered hard, ye olde Ocean Fishing Pier is now gone and huge chunks of town underwater

Here in the semi-DC Area, wind finally arrived, I still have power (underground lines ftw.....I hope), but man it sure got ****ty the last two hours or so.

It's probably in poor taste to complain about a football game while a good majority of Manhattan is instagramming the Empire State Building being their only source of light, but, c'mon Arizona.

Lost power and tv/web at 6, Generator's been going strong, the wind has been like a freight train roaring through like nothing I've ever experienced before, 2 big trees down in my yard and lost my shed, otherwise all is well...everyone hang in there

40 foot tree fell diagonally across my deck. Literally missed my house by inches. Even took the fence own right up to where it meets the house. The tree didn't have a particular lean to it and had it tsken a more direct fall toward the house, it would have done major damage. Feeling very lucky especially since nobody got hurt.

So I'm working a double from 11:30 pm to 4 pm. I brought my wife to her mothers house so I don't know what condition my house is. I pray to God that its in 1 piece.
