1999: Do you believe history can/will repeat itself?

Take it back to 1999. The Jets were coming off an AFCCG appearance. First game of the year, Testaverde gets hurt and is out for the year. Parcells goes with Rick Mirer, and we start of 2-6. Parcells opts to go with Ray Lucas, and it sparks the Jets. They would go on to wins 6 of their last 8 games and finish 8-8, ultimately missing the playoffs. Parcells later admitted he should have gone with Lucas earlier.

Fast forward to 2012, the Jets are 3-5. Fans have turned on Sanchez. They want Tebow. Rex is sticking with Mark though. What if he later opts to go with Tebow though. If he starts Week 9 against Seattle, do you believe he could pull a Ray Lucas and jump start the teams? The again, we don't even know if Rex will even yank Mark.

No way.

Rex is too stubborn and will never bench Sanchez. This team a way less talented and so poorly coached that Brady would loose here.

There are definitely some issues with the talent around Sanchez. But he's been getting the experience, once we can upgrade the positions around him he's the one with the best chance to take us somewhere. He's won playoff games, he's beaten the Patriots. There's no block that prevents Sanchez from being a winner, but football is an 11-on-11 sport and he needs a supporting cast. What's Tebow going to do with this team? Nothing.

Parcells wasn't linked to Mirer.

Rex and Tanny are linked to Sanchez. Benching Sanchez could seal Rex and Tanny's fate. Hence the reason all we hear is "Mark is our best chance to win" "Mark is our guy", etc..... Replacing Sanchez is basically Rex and Tanny admitting failure.

So there is only one thing to do. Blow it the F$%^ up!! Rex and Tanny should both be gone if we don't show signs of life by seasons end.

That team had bill parcells as coach, this one has fat buffoon rex ryan.

That team had keyshawn and chrebet at wr, this one has stephen lam hill.

That team had a hall of famer in his prime at rb, we have a slug at rb.

That team had bill bellichek as def coordinator, we have a puppet as def coordinator.

Do i need to keep going?

Yes because posting a gif of a preseason play proves anything.

And Lucas wasn't much different than Tebow. Both are/were more known for their legs than their arms.

Since when is a gif of Tebow's ineptitude condoning Sanchez in any way?

They're both terrible.

But I find it funny you think the interception is not as serious since it was in the preseason. Considering the quality of talent he would be facing in preseason and the vanilla coverage schemes, I think it being the preseason makes it even more hilariously terrible.

Uh....Lucas could THROW THE BALL. So he WAS *MUCH* Different than Teblow.

And anyway, the only way a "Ray Lucas" situation could POSSIBLY happen is if Greg McElroy gets a shot.

Teblow is NOT an NFL QB. He's basically a Tightend/Halfback-in-the-making trying to be a QB in the NFL(and failing).
