Tailgate Menu 12/23/2012
Our final home game and our final tailgate menu should be a good one.
I usually try to theme the menu toward eating the other team (Dolphins/Mahi Mahi, etc.) but how do you eat "Bolts"? Is there a food that is indigenous to San Diego? Typical to that locale or a favorite of that city's inhabitants? What say you to this? All the best... PS:Fingers crossed for this upcoming Titans game...Go Jets! never got into that "themed" tailgate crap. Just make what people would eat. If you want ideas, try Korean Kalbi. Google it. You just won`t go wrong with it. You can also do Lamb Kabobs and serve it on flat round bread w/Tzaziki sauce. Either one of those recipes will have people coming over and asking what it is you are grilling. Nothing is more satisfying to the one grilling when people come and ask what it is and if they can have the recipe. You can always go the best standby there is. Wings!
I had posted this recipe a few years ago on tailgating America. It has since been nicked by many food sites without giving me credit, although it`s fine by me because I know it`s my recipe. I had spelled a few ingredients wrong on purpose and no one has corrected them. They just nicked it and posted it. Here is one link for CHERNOBYL CHICKEN WINGS. |

McElroy & Weather a factor in Menu
Wild!
Many of my fellow tailgate crew stated after the Titans loss that they would not attend the San Diego game unless McElroy was the starting quarterback. Looks like we're going to the game! Tailgate on! Weather to be somewhat December like...25 degrees warming to a balmy 38 degrees. Something hot in a pot. Wood fire in the Weber to melt the other handle...perhaps a "Hot Toddy"... We like the simple "Girl Scout Cookie", hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps... |

McElroy Ethnicity?
McElroy is American. We all know that.
But what is his ethinic backround? Is McElroy's heritage of Ireland or of Scotland? If Irish then perhaps...Corned Beef and Cabbage and copius Guiness! If Scot then "GI ER AN HAGGIS!" (with Neeps and Tatties of course) and a wee dram... |
