So therefore I must ask, do you watch baseball? A baseball manger doesn't need a game plan like football or basketball coaches. He just needs to plug in a lineup, which is 95% done for him on most teams before pitchers and catchers report.

Few points; Red Sox are retarted

Mike Aviles wasn't going to be the Red Sox's starting shortstop next year, they obviously have very high hopes for Jose Iglesias. (who I don't think can hit a lick, but is an incredible fielder)

Obviously baseball managers do more than just plugging in a lineup, they do far less than say a head football coach, but they still have other responsibilities. There main and most important job is to manage a pitching staff. My paint point still stands. It's incredibly stupid to say this hire nullifies the moves the Jays made this past week.

Jays are probably going to finish 2nd in the AL East next year. Managers in baseball have almost nothing to do with the outcome of the game. It's like Mets fans blaming Wille Randolph for everything all those years they finally get rid of him and now they've been putrid ever since.

I agree for the most part that managers in MLB are severely over rated.

That doesn't mean there can not be bad ones. Willie was and always be a bad one.
