Knowshon Moreno

The Jets should look to trade for him. Could have allot of upside on a new team and wouldnt cost that much as he's no longer starting in denver.

When watching Denver one of the biggest things I noticed was how bad Knowshon Played both running and pass protection. I say no way.

We need to get our players in much better shape

why would the jets trade for him when they're only going to hand it off to greene anyway?

Powell will be the #1 shortly. Don't be surprised if he has a great game Sunday...

he hasn't been starting in Denver for a long time. If you look at his yards per carry and then look at his yards per catch he would be more of a replacement for Powell or Mcknight as a 3rd down back catching passes...

a healthy Legarrette Blount is more of the 1st down ground and pound type back who could potentially be available right now...

Why bother with him? Why not try for Foster?

I have a feeling steven Jackson could be had. He is falling gout of favor with the new coaching staff in st louis.

That's not a bad idea at all. Tate is solid and dependable. I doubt we make any move PERIOD, though.

I think Tate would cost more along the lines of a 1 and a 3 if the Texans were selling, which I doubt.

Tate is a main cog in an offense that is gearing up for a super bowl run. The Texans would never trade the guy. Lets think rational here.

No way, we need all our picks going forward to replace our aging LBs
Harris, Davis + ? + ?
We'll cut Bart & resign Pace at a MUCH MUCH lower salary. Not many teams in this league are signing older LBs on their last legs. Believe or not Pace would still be a good depth player, he just can't play as many snaps.
See if you can finagle MJD next year with a short contract (he'll also clean up in endorsements in NY, again this is the NFL, teams are not giving long term contracts to aging players, especially RBs.)
Woody is gearing up for another shot at a Superbowl at home in 2014!
Why do you think they are sitting on so much money?

I don't see why.

Tate is a promising young player but he hasn't proven that he can shoulder a heavy load and he'll never get the chance as long as Foster is in Houston.

The Jets get an explosive young talent to add to the backfield and the Texans get a 2nd round pick in addition to a serviceable backup to Arian Foster.

Win-Win.

The Texans were foolish to re-sign Foster to a big contract with Tate already there for a much more manageable sum. Oh well, maybe they see their window as this year and want some insurance.

Trading draft picks for never-was RBs like Moreno would be a terrible move.

You give this offense MJD & then see how much Mark improves!
Look at the offensive picture thread regarding Greenes running & how he never makes anyone miss a tackle & replace that with MJD!
The Jets Oline is making holes to run through, problem is Greene has absolutely no shiftiness.
The run where Greene got dinged up by basically putting his head down & stumbling into the defender would have been a touchdown with any top back in this league! Actually, McKnight probably takes that to the house.
Greene will lose his starting job, Sparano will not put up with him much longer & he'll be relegated to more of a closer type back to pound a tired defense & move the chains.
Jets Oline will get better running the ball if in fact Ducasse can play well enough to beat out Slauson.
Night & day difference in straight line power between those two players, Ducasse is a very strong MOFO, he just needs comprehend his assignments.

Moreno stinks. You're 100% correct.

RBs get hurt, NO WAY Texans trade him this year!
Foster has already gotten dinged up a little, like someone else posted, you need depth at RB to win a superbowl, & Texans are in the mix.
