Why would Rivers be available? Because youre a Jet fan and want a new QB? How about Rodgers, Brady or Brees? |

Those guys all suck and will be over paid just draft a guy. This is WR all over again with people thinking below average to average talent is better then a rook. F that draft someone that may at least have a good future. I don't care it is a Tebow like Collin Klein. Make it happen no more BS QB moves this fan base deserves better.

Rivers.
Because Jets fans don't have the patience to draft a QB and watch him develop. |

so I obviously no more than all of you if I've been saying this the last 6 weeks. rivers will be available but nothing short of at least 2 second round picks. I also believe that ***** Turner will be available but I don't believe the Jets will have a chance of him at all.
but man a city with Eli Manning and Phillip Rivers would be exciting. At the right cost |

Romo. Well. Probably will never happen.
So lets go with Matt Moore, dude is a better QB than all 3 of ours put together. |

Some serious losers on these lists guys.
The only one I'd even take a flier on is Moore. Smith is surrounded by incredible offensive skill talent and has a top 5 O-line in front of him. You are an absolute fool if you think you know better than Jim Harbaugh. Who has the West locked up and knows you can't win Super Bowls unless your QB can win games. Smith is TERRIBLE. We are in a serious rebuild that needs to happen and nothing can be forced. You have to realize that any new GM brought in that has to keep Rex is immediately hamstrung and his analysis can't even begin until Rex is then gone. Here's what needs to happen at QB: Nothing. If Tebow is going to be strong-armed into starting by the owner, it needs to be allowed to happen. This team needs to stink. To either draft the guy in my signature or to draft Manziel who looks incredible. I'd reassign Tannenbaum within the organization, draft a top-talent-level running back this year or see if you can peel LaMichael James, Kendall Hunter, or Ben Tate away from their teams since Greene has got to go and allow Rex to see that Ground and Pound even with a 260 lb. running QB doesn't win jack. Going into a draft that getting the top pick in is VERY feasible following next year's abortion, you cut ties with everybody, bring in a new offensive head coach who has developed a young QB recently (Jay Gruden) and a GM from one of the best built-within teams in the league (Kevin Abrams, Assistant GM of the Giants.) Let Abrams draft Clowney or Manziel. Let Gruden start working on your young QB, whoever it ends up being. Fans grind your teeth and bear it. The next 2 following seasons will most likely stink pretty badly. But if you enter the 2017 or 2016 season with a young stud QB and a d-line with Muhammed Wilkerson, Jadaveon Clowney, Kenrick Ellis, and Quinton Coples with secondary that still has Darrelle Revis in it at the least, you are going to win games. I hate to say this because most will say it's not guaranteed, but you definitely have to take steps backwards to secure permanent forward progress. The Giants stunk for Eli's first few years. But look now: Even at 9-7 is there a more feared team in the league going into the playoffs? Also, while mulling this all over keep in mind that this approach has been taken once in the 24+ years I've been watching the Jets: It occurred when Parcells got Abraham, Pennington, and Ellis in the same draft. That's how you do it. Also: Anybody who says to get Polian is a complete loser, too. He assembled two teams that outside of a single year that Bob Sanders stayed healthy, did nothing but repeatedly and consistently lose big games. People always blamed Peyton, but the blame always lied with Polian. The defensive talent was always subpar outside of Freeney and Sanders on those Colts teams. just because rex and sparano werent smart enough to utilize tebow to the best of his ability? the jets should have pulled the plug on sanchez weeks ago and inserted tebow and we would be in the playoff hunt.

The Jets should learn from their past mistakes and stop looking for the answer "out there" and develop what they have "in here".
Start the kid McElroy, he's been here a couple of years now and knows the system. Build a solid offense around the kid. Stop looking elsewhere. It's time for this regime to realize they made a mistake tying too much up in one position (quarterback). Use McElroy, give him a good solid line with depth to protect him, give him some quality recievers to throw to, and the Jets will be a solid team for quite a while. |

In order of preference..
1. Smith 2a. McElroy (if he plays well enough) 2b. If McElroy struggles, Matt Moore, Matt Flynn, or TJ Yates (leaning towards Moore or Yates because of Flynn's contract situation) .... I want no part of Vick and I think Rivers would be too much to give up and he may be past his prime. And, I will jump for joy when Tebone is gone.
