Mike Martz

We're stuck with Buttchez.

Rex should bring in Martz. It would be entertaining.

Martz made Mark Bulger a Pro-Bowler.

I always associate Martz with a QB who can make all the throws, especially deep. Mark can't. IMO, Martz' offense, with Mark at the helm, fails.

Martz's system calls for basically zero protection. This would not work.

That's essentially the point.

Martz will never get an nfl job again. Nothing to see here.

Why not?

Because he dominated most of the 1990s offensively?

Because he took a guy bagging groceries and made him a Hall of Fame QB?

The personnel is rotten next year, Woody should, in our interest, make this happen.

I'd rather have something to laugh in 2013 than sit and be miserable all year as they make crap run after crap run.

He's retired. He exposes his QBs to constant pressure with his passing scheme so much so Cutler went into his office last yr and said I'm not playing if you continue to allow me to get killed

If your goal is to get whomever is playing qb killed, good plan to go with Martz.

Al Saunders was a big part of the Rams success also.

Head coach who strongly endorses a run heavy offense..

Offensive coordinator who is known to abandon the run and pass even more than Andy Reid's offense..

Martz is over 60 years old. He has a decent job. He needs this aggravation with a terrible organization?

Cause the game passed him by. Did you see his last few years in the league? He went from the niners to the lions to the bears. Got canned from all 3 jobs. Come on man.

which means you need a QB with the ability to make quick decisions. We do not have that QB on our roster.

Martz here would be an absolutely terrible fit.

Jay Cutler's insight is worth about the same as Rich Kotite's.

By the way:

Cutler still got a concussion this year and their O-line still sucks.

And in Detroit I'm pretty sure their O-line sucked, too.

The more I think about this the better the idea seems.

Because it logically is utterly incomprehensible and that's the MO with the Jets.

I believe Norv Turner is a good fit for the Jets problem right now.

No.

I'll take Jay Gruden as head coach with a young QB in two years and Kevin Abrams as GM.

The more crap I read about retreads like Polian and Turner the worse I feel for those who say them.

This team needs blown up and reassembled with no expectations.
