I must say I'm not a Sanchez and would love to see either Tebow or McElroy but I'm excited - it's a long shot but we are alive again.

If we sneak into the playoffs is there any chance we'll play a 4-12 team in the first round?

its interesting to see how the SeaHawks beat the Cardinals so bad today

compare it to the Jets who spit blood just to win by 1 point and had to bench Sanchez last week

NFL football is like opening a pickle jar. We loosened it up for them.

If Rex gets this team, which is talentless on offense and led by a turnover machine into the playoffs then I may consider this the best coaching job he has done since he got here. Don't confuse Rex with the architect who created this inept offense, Mike T. Rex' defense has carried this team and if they make the playoffs it will be in spite of this offense and bc of the defense and Rex should get all of the credit for that.

Funny that we're dissecting usernames considering yours.
Check when my username was made. Way to deflect with an irrelevant point.

Didn't say I wanted us to tank, but making the playoffs and getting destroyed in the first round will give Woody a false sense of hope. This organization needs a top to bottom reshuffling and squeaking in the playoffs will continue to prolong that.

Having credibility and expressing your opinion is two very completely different things.

The Jets shouldn`t be allowed to make the playoffs simply because they need too many things happen for them to be in. The Jets should be in the AFC East lead, but they ain`t. They shouldn`t be hoping for teams to lose. They should be kicking ass and not looking back. But that would be a Jets team we have never seen before. What we have is the SOJ again. Go ahead, make the playoffs. It`ll be a game I won`t watch because it will be embarrassing to see. The Jets have beaten no one this year.

Actually we win a 3 way tie, so we get in with winning out and a Cincy victory over Pitt and any other loss by Cincy. If Pitt beats Cincy, we need to either have Cincy win their other 2 games or Pitt to lose both. Mathematically a Cinci win Thursday might give us a very slightly better playoff chance than a loss.
I don't see how we win in a 3 way tie with Pitt and Cinncy? Jets need to win out and have either the Colts lose all 3 or Pitt needs to lose 2 out of three and the Bengals need to lose 1 out of three. But I dont see us winning a three way tie between Jets Bengals and Pitt but I could be wrong. Somebody please explain how we could win a three way tie?

Perhaps if this place were completely anonymous, then I'd agree. But to say extreme homers and trolls are on par with the truly knowledgeable and level-headed posters (and there are a few) is incorrect.

Win or lose I'm sure the 20 teams who don't make the playoffs would rather be in it and take their chances of losing. I'd rather be one of the teams playing an extra week then be one of them sitting home. And seriously as a Jets fan what gives you the perspective of bring able to say "championship or bust" when the Jets haven't won a Super Bowl in over 40 years? Lets not make pretend the Jets have a history of great success bc they don't. They're the Royals of the NFL, not the Yankees. I think its hard for some people to come to that realization and therefore they act spoiled and whiny when the Jets don't come through like they haven't done for the past 43 years. The Jets not having Super Bowl success shouldn't be shocking and playoff appearances are still major accomplishments for this franchise who before 1997 had 4 winning seasons in its history. Like i said, Royals, not Yankees.
