Hill's knee?

Have there been any updates on the injury? Severity?

He is having an MRI on Monday. X-rays were negative.

I hope he is OK. An injury this late in the season can cost him OTAs and maybe even some TC. He needs all the experience he can get.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Wide receiver Stephen Hill wobbled out of the locker room on an injured right knee after today’s 17-10 victory over the Jaguars, making his way toward the team bus.

His primary concern at the moment was a missing pad from his headphones, a welcome distraction to the reason he was limping.

Hill’s afternoon ended with 11:37 to go in the second quarter. Mark Sanchez targeted him on a fly route down the sideline where Hill became entangled with a Jaguars defensive back and collapsed on the ground.

X-rays on the knee were negative, but Hill said he will receive an MRI Monday to determine the severity of the injury.

He has already missed two games this season with a hamstring issue.

Negative x-rays don't really tell us much, x-rays don't see soft tissue damage unless it's gross damage. The way he was hobbling I'd say it's very probably at least a meniscus tear, which even with arthro is a season ending injury for a speed player.

Haven't seen anything but my guess would be a torn ACL. It didn't look good. But lets face the facts, he's got a lot of talent, but he can't catch the ball. He's too raw to be of any real help right now.

Hopefully, this spurs the FO to go out and get Braylon Edwards back here. He'd be a great addition to the team. Not to mention, if the CS opts to stay with Sanchez, Braylon Edwards was really the only WR Sanchez has ever had chemistry with.

Braylon burned all his bridges in New York, unfortunately:

Quote:
Former Jet Braylon Edwardstook to Twitter last week to attack his former team, which has been mired in dysfunction. Edwards was subsequently released by Seattle, ending an injury-plagued and unproductive stint with the team.

According to league sources, the Jets approached the Seahawks earlier this season about trading for Edwards and were serious about the proposition. The Jets lost Santonio Holmes, their top receiver, for the season in late September. Edwards was one of the first options they explored, weeks before the trade deadline in Week 8. At the time, the Seahawks still had high hopes for Edwards staying healthy and rounding into form. The Jets were informed it would take something significantl in return for Edwards and not just a late-round pick.

The talks were cursory, but New York's intent was real. Throwing Edwards' combustible personality back into that already toxic mix might have added even more turmoil to this Jets season.

On Monday, Edwards tweeted of the Jets' quarterback controversy: 'Don't blame Sanchez. I played there. Blame the idiots calling shots ... Mark is a beast and will (prove) it when given a proper chance.

Hey... G-Mac said basically the same sh*t...
Doesn't mean it wouldn't be the smart thing to do.

PLUS, you know Woody would rather go get Ocho for Jersey sales, because, well that's just the kind of people that are running the Jets.

Gmac is under contract and has some potential.

Edwards is a free agent and he stinks.

Jesus H. ****ing Christ.

Another thread where Jets fans continue to treat Braylon Edwards like an All-Pro wide receiver.

As for Stephen Hill, hopefully he's okay but I wouldn't be surprised he suffered a torn MCL or ACL. Didn't look good. Hopefully just a sprain. No need to rush him back. Play Schilens and Gilliyard.

And Braylon Edwards is a world beater?

He's done nothing in almost two years now

It's time accept the fact that Braylon Edwards will NEVER be a New York Jet again. NEVER.

Do you realize how bad our receiver corps are when we are concerned about this guy missing a game or two.

Yes, schillens and gillyard suck.

The possible low point for the Jets offense for the past 10 years.

Then again, I'm sure someone will appear with something worse.

In a league like the NFL, calling someone an idiot on Twitter is probably the least bridge-burning offense there is.

If they feel he can help the team, they'll bring him in.

At least when he fell and hurt his his knee he didn't throw the ball in the air to a defender for that player to run it in for a touchdown

Clarence Gilyard was a FLIER for the Cowboys before he suffered a shoulder injury. That injury didnt hinder his career as Ranger Jimmy Trivette.

Exactly. How many Jets have done that this year? Holmes? The Tight End that caught Tebow's jump pass? I think one other.
