You know what's gonna win you a championship? A pass rush, legit #1 receiver, etc. CB is soooo not a need on this team. Deal Revis and be done with it.

C'mon. 50% is a little much.

I get what you are saying, but I think we would be able to keep revis and still put together a championship defense.

Didnt Deion win a Super Bowl too? Or was that before that salary cap. I can't remember and don't want to google it.

I'm not saying we absolutely COULDN'T, but it really depends on how selfish Revis is going to be when it comes time to get a new contract done. I personally don't want him gone, but it simply comes down to money. CB = Not a position you put top QB money into.

Either way, this is derailing the thread. I can't say that I like Revis sporting another team's gear. Just doesn't sit right.

Yes......with Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Emmit Smith, Troy Aikman, and Michael Irvin. Let's also remember that he wasn't only a CB as he doubled as a WR as well.

I lol @ the biggest kool-aid drinker saying anyone else has their head in the sand. Oh, Rah Rah...

The point is that a great WR is more important than a great CB.

Also true. Hell, I'm not even saying we should trade for White. I'm just saying that, in the grand scheme of things, Offense > Defense in terms of importance with the way the league caters to the Offensive side of the ball.

It's not that he didn't have pride, he lived it though and didn't want to feel like a walking advertisement for himself. He used to exchange his gear with other players or give it to us (the family). He'd wear hats from other teams he played... it was pretty common. Lots of them did it. I'm sure it happens in the pros too.
The only thing I ever got from an opponent when I played were Ed Marinaro's cleat marks on my back!! Then after the game he tried to pick up my girlfriend, unsuccessfully I might add!

Well, I can't say it happened back then (late 60s early 70s) but it was pretty common during the late 80s.

I said in a previous post that I never seen it happen but i think I do remember when the White Sox came out with the Black hat, that some Black major leaguers from other teams were sporting them. Nowadays, every team has black hats though.

lol you seriously care enough about Revis wearing a Falcons hat to match his clothing enough to come post about it on a Jets site? Jesus. He wears Jets stuff all the time. Who gives us a ****?! Am I in the twilight zone!?
