Best "New" Music you've heard this year
With the year end polls going on, best film etc; what is the best music you've never heard before during this year....doesn't have to be "new" as in made this year, could be from last century, but has to be something you've listened to this year that you really liked.
I really liked the Jack White (The White Stripes) album, and this song is a "cracker" from it: There is a band from Perth, Australia that won a lot of "best of year" polls, Tame Impala - sounds like John Lennon in front of Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd with Marc Bolan playing bass - fantastic LP: Any other music youv'e heard this year you've liked? |

I really like Mumford & Sons. Not sure if that makes me a hipster, a tool, or a hipster-tool hybrid. But they're pretty good.

Avett Bros. and Mumford & Sons are the Ronde-Tiki of the music world.

Its good. He gets over praised but thats the medias fault more than his. His tracks are really great. You can listen to Pyramids (its 8 minutes) and literally hear all of his styles.
I also liked the Japandroids album and the Fiona Apple album with the long name was good as well. It wasnt a great year for stuff I like.. |

The Frank Ocean LP is just a great work. The Super Rich Kids song is probably my favourite off it, but that will change I have no doubt.
