You pair that with an offensive mind like Norv Turner and maybe you really have something a year or two down the road.

I watched Glennon for years now....he is a WASTE of a draft pick if picked before 4th.

Eric Ainge, McElroy and Glennon are similar. You watch.... He is NOT gonna make a difference on any team. Did you watch him today? I watch him a lot. Today was normal.

If you watched Glennon as much as you claim, then you would know that he isn't even remotely comparable to McElroy, Ainge, Leinart or the plethora of other QB's you've mentioned.

Agreed, Glennon is no Leinart. Leinart was all about the "intangibles" and being a "winner." But Glennon reminds me more of Jake Locker than a Matt Ryan. People fall in love with the arm and ignore his lack of production. Again, the kid has alot of good qualities, but i don't think you can take him at 9.

Personally, I only see 4 or 5.

Damontre Moore, Manti Te'o, Luke Joeckel, Star Lotulelei, Chance Warmack and maybe Jarvis Jones.

Glennon is a raw talent with the physical tools that you dream of in a QB. Would I draft him if we have some inept "ground and pound" dick like Sparano or Cavanaugh overseeing his development? F*ck no

But give the reigns to a guy like Norv Turner and it becomes a selection that I would not only be okay with, but would welcome.

There are plenty of talented players in this draft. I'd prefer to avoid reaching on a QB who doesn't deserve to be drafted in the 1st round because he has not performed as a 1st rounder should. Doesn't matter who his coach is. Glennon leaves a lot to be desired IMO.

Really successful NFL quarterbacks come in two models-- there are guys like Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III who everyone can see are going to be franchise quarterbacks from a mile away. Those guys go at the very top of the draft without fail. And then there are the guys who slip to the bottom of the first round or into the second or third round, guys like Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers and this year Russell Wilson. Those are guys who have all the skills and who played at a very high level in college, but who are shorter and therefore questioned by scouts who are looking for that prototype 6'5" guy with a big arm.

You know who never turns into a top NFL quarterback? The guys who have the prototype 6'5"/big arm tool set who didn't dominate in college.

And that's basically the exact description of Glennon and most of the other people whose names are being bandied around here.

It amazes me that someone so anti Sanchez could be so pro Glennon. Inaccuaracy and inconsistency are glaring issues with Glennon. His ceiling is Joe Flacco, but he's more likely John Skelton(maybe slightly better).

I live here in NC, attend NC State games and YES he is at best Matt Leinhert. Matt Leinhert and Quinn were better college QB's.

NC State hasn't had a dominant season (s) under Glennon at all.

Last few years we have had losses to Virginia, UNC, Vandy and on and on.

Spare me.

Glennnon's stock did slip against what amounts to a so so Vandy team.
Liked the look of Taj Boyd vs. LSU. Not saying he's RG3, but he is certainly a strong possibility at #39.

You dont need a guy who is 6'6 and is extremely inaccurate. From height alone , look at the guy he replaced at NCST. He is lighting up the league, who is what barely 6'0?

When I look at Glennon I see the 2nd coming of Browning Nagle. Browning Nagle part 2 I know the younger fans have no idea who Nagle but you old timers like me know exactly know Nagle and this guy is almost a clone of Nagle so I hope the Jets dont draft this kid.

I'm sure it's possible given the poor QB choices we've seen but Jones belongs no where in the second or third round

Interested in what we can see from Dysert, though my hopes for him translating to the NFL arn't very high

His stock, IMO, has been artificially high becauce of his height.

He is NOT an NFL starter and I am a Wolfpack fan.

I have no opinion on Boyd I dont watch Clemson. But I go on record as saying any team drafting Glennon will be in the same boat as whomever drafted Leinert, McCoy, Siimms and Quinn.

Basically a wasted pick.
