Yes, that's PRECISELY what's bitten them in the ass this year. (And how you view 2011 as a 'success' is a mystery to me, but whatever....)

They went all-in in '09 and '10 and failed. Didn't work and as a result of all the lost draft picks, bad extensions, and high cost contracts, the team now finds itself with little depth, not enough youth, a horrible cap future (next year at least) and no championship to show for it.
