Quantity is a Quality - Draft Strategy
Many fans are focusing on distinct, positional needs (QB, OLB, OL, RB) for next year. While important, the team has a profound lack of talent on offense that will not be solved if the Jets manage to draft the next Superstar with their first pick.
They must rebuild the entire offense with starters and quality backups desperately needed at EVERY position. - No moving up for questionable QB's like Barkley and Smith. Early picks must be starters/stars - no JAGS!! - No more relying on UDFA's and guys off waivers for OL depth. - No more overpaying for guys like Holmes b/c there are no young, cheap guys ready to challenge for a starting job. |

For me? A new established veteran QB to compete with a drafted young blue chipper QB should make for great competition. From there, another decent FA or drafted RB and a RT will put this offense right back on track. It likely won't get great overnight, it normally doesn't work that way. But it will be progress and that is what is most important at this point. |
