Wow, when you look at it, KC is actually a great situation for Reid
They had 5 players elected to the pro bowl, so there is definitely some kind of talent level in place. They also have the #1 pick in the draft. If Andy Reid can fix the QB situation, then they'll be right back in the playoff mix in a weak AFC.

Yeah I wonder if he'll forget Jamaal Charles is on the team just like he forgot about McCoy. Which QB on the chiefs is going to throw the ball 40 times a game?

Job I'd want over KC.
1 Cleveland - Not sure why everyone seems down on Cleveland. They are in a tough division but are obviously on the way up. They have a solid young core, a good D and some good pieces on O. Someone like Reid could take Weeden and make him into a stud IMO. 2. SD - Mainly because you already have a good QB and the D is pretty well set. 3. The Bears - Anther team where you don't have to do a lot of work to repair the D. You just have to deal with the 2 biggest head cases in the NFL on O. 4. Zona - One word Fitzgerald. Reid can step right in with Kolb and maybe draft Jones to compete. The D isn't set but it is pretty darn close. 5. Bills - The owner is dying you can pretty much run the team however you want and no worry about getting fired. FREE DO OVER WITH THE NEXT OWNER! |

Fix the QB situation and you can say the same thing about AZ, Cle, Oak, NYJ, .....(insert any team in the bottom 10 with the exception of probably Det.

That's as many carries as you want to give McCoy in a season. Teams have been able to prolong the careers of their backs by reducing their workload. Almost no one gets 20 carries per game anymore. There were only 4 guys with 300 carries this year (less than 19 carries per game), and all of them are bigger than McCoy (and have a power element to their game): Foster, Peterson, Wilson, and Morris. That's actually significantly up from last year, when only 2 guys had 300 carries, and one of them was Michael Turner with 301. Arian Foster was the first guy to break the 350 carry barrier since Chris Johnson in '09. Teams are trying to avoid what happened to Clinton Portis. A great back that was D-O-N-E by the time he was 28 because he was getting 320+ carries every year. You even have to be careful with bigger guys like Ricky Williams and Larry Johnson. Both of them were elite backs when they had their careers ruined by being made to carry an absurd workload in one season. Dave Wandstedt did it to Ricky in 2002 with the Dolphins, and Herm Edwards famously did it to Johnson in '06. The other thing to remember with McCoy is that he's also used a lot in the passing game, and those hits count too (this is something people always forget about with Ray Rice). He had 54 receptions this year. That gave him 254 touches in 12 games, (21+ per game). |

@ESPNStatsInfo: Chiefs: played 414 games in a row w/out a win by QB they drafted. Last such one to win for them? #FiestaBowl announcer Todd Blackledge 1987

Zero expectations and they already have good personnel on both offense and defense. They just have never had a QB and that's Reid's specialty. Reid will draft Aaron Murray or Geno Smith and coach another 10 years in the NFL.

When you get smacked by the Raiders again next season. Come up with another excuse why you lost. When you have your Qb situation , I wouldn't be so fast to make fun of another team situation. Especially when your pretty much stunk with that Qb.

He's still Andy Reid, he's still a terrible in-game coach, and even if he gets them to the playoffs he'll do something dumb when it matters and they'll never win anything with him. That's just reality
