Abiding by off-season media rules, the #Jets will have an open locker room today at noon. Main storyline: Mark Sanchez react to Geno Smith.

And the media-driven drama begins.

TLDR: The only likely "react" will be "Glad to have him aboard, looking forward to the competition". Anything beyond that either shows the media tryig to create a story, or Mark Sanchez failing Media 101 and handing them a story, thus partially proving why he's not the guy for us longterm.

Jets C Nick Mangold says he sees something different in Mark Sanchez this year. Senses a more mature attitude.

Conor Orr ‏@ConorTOrr
Sanchez says it's a friendly atmosphere with multitude of quarterbacks in the building

JetsInsider.com ‏@JetsInsider
Shocking, I know, Mark Sanchez is responding/handling the media exactly like you'd expect Mark Sanchez to

Of the QB competition Sanchez says they're all "friendly, but it's fierce competition."

Kimberly Jones ‏@KimJonesSports
Mark Sanchez meets media. Says he is "thrilled" to compete. "They drafted a QB. Let's compete."

Conor Orr ‏@ConorTOrr
When asked if he expects to win QB competition "no doubt, of course"

LOL

Heard the same BS last year.

About how Sanchez had this new "aura" about him, how this was "his team", etc.

Before: "Hi Mark, just wanted to let you know, in case you're not watching the draft - we're on the clock now and by some fortunate twist of fate, geno smith is still there and we're gonna take him. Felt like I should give you a man's head's up."

After: "...Please leave a message after tone...Beeeeeep...Hi Mark, don't know where you went, just spoke with you - anyway - we took Geno Smith like we discussed..."
