Talking Cowboys Social Media Makes Fun Of NHL; Gets Subsequently Owned

Whomever is running Twatter for the Dall-ass Cowboys should be fired for this. Idiot.

Don't they realize that there are a lot of Cowboys fans whom are also Dallas Stars fans?

Dallas Stars taunt Tony Romo, Cowboys after Twitter diss

Don't mess with Texas' hockey team.

The Dallas Stars' digital media staff proved to be just as feisty off the ice, taunting the Dallas Cowboys and specifically quarterback Tony Romo after the football team's official Twitter account instigated an online beef by joking about the NHL lockout.

After retweeting DallasCowboys.com staff writer Josh Ellis' comment noting six weeks till spring training, the writer behind the official Cowboys account made the following crack.

This tweet was quickly deleted from the Cowboys feed shortly after posting,(Photo: @dallascowboys)
The Stars responded with a 10-minute misconduct worthy knockout punch Tuesday morning, along with a picture of former Stars captain Mike Modano hoisting the Stanley Cup.

At least our #9 got the job done..... RT: @DallasCowboys "Similarly in the category of nobody-cares…the NHL is back!" pic.twitter.com/o6yoe6iG

Quote:
After picking themselves off of whatever the Twitter equivalent of blood-covered ice would be, the Cowboys offered an apology, which the Stars graciously accepted.

Via @DallasStars:

Apology accepted"@dallascowboys: @DallasStars our sincere apologies for the inappropriate tweet posted accidentally. Good luck this season."
