I just wanted to point out that Tony / CBNY over on the draft forum had some good things to say about Gaine. And if Tony likes him, that's good enough for me...

1 Popp - by a mile!
2 Gamble 3 Khan - only finance guy I'd consider 4 Gaine Will someone forward the list to Woody? Maybe we can split part of the $200k he's paying K/F! |

My top 3 are Ross, Khan and Idzik
I was thinking maybe there's a possibilty of making Khan GM and Ross Asst. GM - both would be promotions from their positions in their respective teams now and you'd get a cap guru and player evaluator to work together both from two of the top organizations in the league... But that is just wishful thinking |

Actually above all of them...any word on Dorsey from Green Bay? Haven't heard anything imminent about him going to KC and there hasn't been much said whether he interviewed with us or not. He's probably the best candidate out there right now.

That said, Dorsey is very good and Reid is very good so you'll see them in the playoffs in 3 years. |

Gamble was #1, but hearing how he failed to impress I am going to trust the NFL teams that maybe he isn't such a hot candidate?
1-Jim Popp, it seems like he has impressed teams but no one has taken that risk yet of hiring a CFL guy. Quote:
2-Omar Khan, he may be a cap guy but he comes from the best ran organization in football and we do have cap issues. He would not be Tannenbaum 2.0. 3-Brian Gaine, it seems like a lot of people are high on this guy. Hes a football guy too. 4-Marc Ross, he knows talent but he didn't seem to impress either. 5-John Idzik 6-Tom Gamble 7-Scott Cohen Noway do I want Jerry Angelo, hes already a proven bum as GM. |

Rex. He will be no matter who Jets hire to make the figure head GM.

I'll leave the rankings to the people actually doing the interviewing and fact-finding. That said, I am surprised Kahn is getting an interview. He is a numbers guy, not a scout. Query, does the NFL have a minority interview requirement for GM positions? I thought I read that Jimmy Raye III declined an interview invitation. Is it possible that Kahn is the fulfillment of a minority interview requirement?

I started to write an informed reply to this.
Then I realized that all my information comes from:
Do I REALLY know anything about the individuals up for this job? I don't even know if Cohen was guiding or opposing Tanny on our own team! Sorry to not be able to contribute as much insider info as everyone else...

Jim Popp may be a possibility because his teams have done well in the CFL. However, his lack of NFL experience could be a drawback.
