Is somebody out there going to hold it against him that he can not trade Sanchez for anything remotely resembling cap value? Likewise, Harris, Holmes etc. The only guy on the roster that the GM can concern himself with is Revis. It seems a lot of posters think the same issues that make this situation bad for a HC makes it bad for a GM. The GM is not looking at next year. Next year is a disaster and there is nothing that can be done about it, but use it as a launching point for a new chapter in the jets history. |

Revis back, maybe a stud OLB at #9 Holmes back Hill with an entire offseason with a competent OC You just never know in this business Maybe Rex FORCED to play young guys pays off, we all know he's loyal to a fault ie. Pace/Scott/Thomas/Smith |

Holmes is back to what? Being a jerk, a distraction in the locker room? Bill Walsh is not going to help Hill catch the ball and hold on to it. Rex is going to be forced to play young guys as that is what the team is going to be next year. Revis is the only existing problem that needs his immediate attention. Is he still looking to be a corner getting 13-15 mil a year? Then what, does he extend Cro and trade Revis? Does he tie up 20% of the teams 2014 cap in the two starting corners? |
