Scott Cohen out of the Running for GM

http://thejetsblog.com/nyjets/report...m-sweepstakes/

It appears as if we are inching closer and closer to a decision, folks. TheJetsBlog’s Jake Steinberg and Kristian Dyer are both reporting that in-house candidate Scott Cohen will not be the next general manager of the New York Jets.

This comes as no surprise. Cohen is representative of an old order and the Jets need fresh blood to direct their future exploits … I think they also realized Florham Park would be the site of World War III if they announced Cohen as general manager.

Ultimately this is a good turn of events because based on the actions of the Jets front office, Cohen did not deserve the job. Also, thet team did not need to place more power in the hands of a coach who may only be here another 12 months. Whether it is real or perceived, Cohen would have come off as a lacky for Ryan.

Here's hoping that GS3 under center, and Coples on the edge works out.

I guess Woody isn't as dumb as some posters think.I knew it wouldn't be Cohen, Woody definitly sees the need for an outside perspective. No Cameron niether,i think Rex is getting it. He's not a stupid man, talks too much, thats for sure, but he's not stupid

Since it's Steiny reporting this, I bet that we will be announcing that Cohen has been named GM within 10 hours.

Every day I think you've already said the stupidest thing possible, and then I am wrong.

The Jets went to 2 AFC Championship games with Scott Cohen having a huge roll.

Small head, Tommy Bahama shirt, Grape Ape arms.

A prototypical snubber.
