If Jets hire Khan or Idzik, does that mean Rex is in control of personnel?
The Jets were initially looking for a personnel guy but it seems they may hire a numbers guy. Does this pretty much mean Woody is giving Rex control of personnel?

The only control on personnel I'd give Rex is defensive line players. He was once one and knows how to find them. Back with the Ravens and now with the Jets. He always finds good defensive line players. other than that give him no control!

Haven't you heard? Khan snubbed the Jets. It's between Idzik and Sundquist.

Not with Idzik.
That's why I want him. |

Even worse, it probably means Bradway is back in charge of personnel.

Izdik has a little background in personnel. If its Khan, he is being hired for his brilliance. Anyone can see the issue surrounding this team and that Rex Ryan can still have input it just should t come at the expense of your entire scouting department.
As one of the Jet writers pointed out the obvious, whoever the new GM is, they are going to bring in their guys in the scouting department. Guys he can trust. This will be the biggest sign that Rex will be out come New Years Day. The GM is going to surround himself with HIS guys. Ones that share his philosophy. |

WJ said at the PC that the coach (Rex) will pick his assistant coaches, the GM will pick the players.

I think if Idzik is hired it means Sanchez is going to be named OC, Holmes is going to handle player discipline while Rex will run the strength and conditioning. Anyone else with stupid theories they want to interject with zero evidence?

Yes but at that time they might had still been leaning towards Caldwell or Gamble, a personnel guy. Now that they seem to after more of a numbers guy, Woody possibly changed his mind on who has control of personnel?

If Idzik is hired, it will very possibly follow the Seattle Business model. Both coach and gm have a shared responsibility with personnel decisions. They work together to build a team.
Thats how it works with the Seahawks. Carroll and Schneider have shared responsibility. |

oMG you may have just solved the Jets' dilemma!!! LOL, giving Sanchez the OC job may be the solution to their problems. At least he finds that 'much easier' than actually throwing the ball - as he showed a couple years ago in pre-season when he playcalled and Brunell threw.
