He has literally portrayed this rote presser as the single worst event in Jets Franchise history, and a sure sign of at least a decade of future failure. |

That really is what drives him to say what he does. His fat ego can not take that an organization doesnt bow to him and concede his greatness. The Jets said FU to him and he can not wrap his fat mind around that fact.

Even that first year during the season, he kept trying to insinuate that Revis really wasn't THAT good. Then it just became apparent so Francesa couldn't even mention it... Same as the Lebron vs Carmelo argument. He thought Carmelo was going to be the better player and wasn't willing to admit to that. Again, I used to listen to him constantly, but had to stop because it was clear that he didn't really believe the stuff he was saying and just trying to shock people with negative stuff. The Braylon stuff was the breaking point for me. |

By now why would you tune in, especially after a Jets presser etc and expect to hear anything different?
He is a hero to those who hate the Jets, the whiners, the SARs of the world. We all know that. Who's to blame, him for doing what he's been doing for years? Or the people who tune in expecting to hear something different. |

![]() Boils down to that Fran Sarcessa I has rejected Woody's previous statement that the GM will be picking the players, becauce Idzik dared to say he would take Rex's opinions into account, and hence by doing so proved that the Jets have no one in charge. He appears offended, personally, that Idzik did not denounce, demean and outright terminate Rex, the entire Front Office and make clear that he is the Dictator of the Jets. Also, Fran Sarcessa I's hatred of the PR Phrase "Play Like a Jet" is bordering on hilarious. It appears he wanted Idzik to come out and say "Play like a Jet is dumb, we suck, we should play like a Patriot". He asks "who is in charge"? Woody has already said, the GM. Some folks simply can't believe that it seems. |

I think you are misremembering that. He killed Rex for that during Revis' holdout. He said that Rex basically ruined the Jets bargaining position bc of his praises.

Gary Myers asked the personal question if it's a tie-breaker, and Idzik said he's comfortable being the one who will break the tie breaker.. i guess he doesn't want to play that question

I think the funniest thing is he is making a big deal that 'Rex had to show me where my office is" comment. It was such a shot at all morons in the media(Francesa the biggest one of the bunch) that think Rex is running the show.It went over all their heads, but that's not surprising.

Francesa has to understand that this guy is on the first day of his FIRST GM job...
He's not established like Sandy Alderson, Parcells, etc... He's not going to come in and blow things up from the podium... Francesa is not being reasonable about this... |
