Revis has brought this upon himself. He is greedy, plain and simple. I wanted him traded during his last holdout. Now he will play the card where the fans are suffering and the big bad Jets are causing this riff. Stop.

I'd like to see him traded to Oakland where can die a slow death.

It's unbelievable how many people here actually HATE this guy as if he stole money from you or ****ed your wife.
Weird. I don't care about the hold outs because when he plays on Sunday, he is the best in the world at what he does, maybe the best ever. The best get paid in every profession, always have, always will. I'd rather pay the best than pay for clowns like Sanchez and Holmes. Silly me. Last edited by TheMikeIsHot; 01-25-2013 at 08:44 AM. |

You guys are all nuts. Jets = the worst franchise in Football. Jets will probably trade him to the Skins and he wins a superbowl. The same thing happened with Keyshawn. Keyshawn and Revis are probably the hardest playing and talented Jets that they've had in 50 years. And what do the Jets do, trade them away!

Revis still controls the tempo of these discussions. If he does not consent to a new deal right away then any prospective trade partner will be looking at a one year rental.
Now coming off an injury if someone offers you a multiyear contract then that would be pretty tough to turn down but if you feel like you can prove you are all the way back and then land a windfall in a year then you might be willing to roll the dice for a year and prove it. Alternatively take the money from the new team and then hold out in the out years if the money at that time appears to be disrespectful of your talents ![]() Why would any team trade for those problems? |

During the Denver game a few years ago against Tebow. Tebow did an end around and ran right by Revis. So much for his being the best tackler. He was a deer in the head lights when he saw the freight train coming at him. |

And with regards to Cromartie, I'd keep quiet too if I was making more money than one of the most dominant players in football. If you ask me, take a look at David Harris salary, yet no hate on that guy. You want to save money go there. Currently he's the highest paid player on the team. Idzik at least is not just a money manager and will have the confidence to make those tough decisions. |

Oh hes gone alright. Great move by Woody and the jets. Get picks for this guy now as we have 0 intention of negotiating another contract with this guy.
More draft picks to take offensive playmakers. Great move Woody. Keep up the good work. |

Trading probably the best jets player Ever atleast top 2. is gonna be the biggest disaster ..
Especially when we trade him for not near his Value .. Once those reports leaked yesterday all of any leverage we had went out the window .. |

I love Revis and it would be wonderful if he retired as a Jet... however we need to be realistic with what is possible in a salary cap model.
My only hesitation in trading him for picks is the possibility that we will miss on the picks we get back... imagine we draft players like Vlad Ducasse and Kyle Wilson... that would be tragic. |

All the reason more why it sucks that Kyle Wilson isn't working out. This could have been avoided if he turned into the player the front office thought he would.

fine, I have no problem getting rid of revis. We haven't won any super bowls with him. You can use the money it would take to keep him to sign 4 other players. Maybe even a QB or pass rusher which are more pressing needs.
