Any chance we go after reggie bush?

from what i can tell he is a FA, and combined with powell the guy could probably make a lot of people look good on offense.

Would like this pickup! They should've picked him up a few years ago..

Can anyone say with reasonably certainity that reggie bush would be more productive then a RB we find in the draft who will cost $3+ million less per year.

There is just very little value in paying FA RBs

We need guys who will be ready to help us in 2015. Bush is not one of those guys.

Well I look at it this way: Bush would add immediate production. I like Joe but Bush is better than him now. Unless the Jets luck out and draft a RB that can provide Bush's ability immediately you're just waiting again..

He would make a great wco back, but a few things will prevent him from being a Jet.
1. he wants to be paid
2. he wants to win now
3. the Jets dont have the money
4. the Jets will not win now

Jets are signing stop gaps this FA period. We have very little money and a ton of spots to fill. We need guys that will help us in 2 years. Not next year.

I could see bush on the bengals. He would improve their offense tremendously.

I rather keep Landry than spend the money on Bush. I like Bush but with Powell/Mcknight + random draft pick we are ok at RB.

We can't afford him.

Could see him on the Falcons. In that O, on turf, in a dome? Look out.

Pack would be a good fit too. Not sure he would like the cold though.

Reggie is a big name and warrants a big salary. He would be a luxury and we can't afford luxury this year.

Prediction: Jets will go with McKnight, Powell and 4th or later round draft pick at half-back. McKnight will have a big year in Marty's O in a rotation with Powell and/or the Rookie.

This. We need to build for our future, not tie up money in some FAs when we're not a legit playoff team yet.

Bush would be a great addition to the Jets/Marty offense. He depends on RB that are very good a catching the ball.

One could argue there is no one better in the league then Bush at catching the ball as a RB.

With that said I dont see it happening do to money. We have McNight and I think its a given we will be drafting a guy fairly high.

Draft is cheaper and younger. Bush is about 30 I think. Not a good number for a RB

I wouldn't mind taking a look at a guy like Felix Jones, to be honest.

Same type of player as Bush but way cheaper.

His health issues are a concern though.

It's not an awful idea. From a skill set standpoint. Reggie Bush is what the Jets need. The problem is that injuries are starting to catch up to him and he's not the explosive player he once was. Couple that with the fact that he will be looking to be paid like someone who is a top 15 starting RB and that pretty much removes him from the equation with the Jets. It's not an impossible thing to imagine and I am not against it but I don't see it happening..
