Out of 47 Super Bowls, you name 5 QB's?

BTW, check out Doug Williams stats the year he won the Super Bowl.

As a rookie you threw 20 picks.

In your second season you only threw 13.....but wait, led the league in Dropped Interceptions with 15 (6 more then the next player).

You followed that up with back to back 26 turnover seasons!!!!

There doesnt seem to be any statistical sample size indicating that you are an inaccurate turnover machine. How could this be your fault?????

Smart fans say what????

4 of the past 6 SB winning teams didn't have an elite QB. Roethlisberger, Flacco and Eli (x2). I'd have to check but I think they all have career QB ratings around 90, just good/above average for this era of football

Edit: this has nothing to do with Sanchez or the Jets just agreeing with the poster a few posts back

I would wager large amounts of money that you would be wrong.

He'd latch on somewhere as a backup, but I doubt he would start again unless some team was totally devastated by injuries at the QB position.

You named 5 in 33 years.

Building teams based on the exception is a recipe for failure.

I have to disagree. Big Ben, Eli and Flacco are elite QBs. They're not super star QBs (Brady, Rodgers, Brees, healthy Peyton), but they are a notch below and proved that they can play at an elite level in the big game.

Half of this board still thinks we should copy the '00 Ravens and '02 Bucs model.

Why, I have no clue.

Two teams that were total flashes in the pan.

Of course you would love a defense like the 2000 Ravens. Who wouldn't?

Problem is we don't have a 2,000 yard rusher or a competent QB.

He was a pro bowler that year, as was Brad Johnson in his super bowl year, Brad Johnson his year, and Jim McMahon his year. Add Rypien to the list.

History has shown that while a HOF caliber QB is not necessary for a SB, the overwhelming majority of all SB winning QBs were either pro bowlers the year they won the SB or had probowl caliber seasons around that time.

Dilfer was the absolute anomaly.

Hold your horses there SARdine, the Jets did Mark a favor by trading up which ended up paying him much more money then he was worth going into the draft and secondly, the Jet did him another favor and extended him because they felt his feelings were hurt lol

Why does everyone have to say "Breaking News" when starting a thread? This is not breaking news nor has anyone of the other threads on this forum.
