Eat a peach! SON OF A B!TCH.

I guess I've never thought of that as a double album but when you have a 33 minute Mountain Jam as one of the tracks it should have been a given.

By the way, compilation albums, live or studio, shouldn't even count as they are basically greatest hits albums.

No particular order. Just some of the ones I own off the top of my head.

Notrorius B.I.G - Life After Death
Smashing Pumpkins – Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
2Pac - All Eyes on Me

For me, even though I idolize him, the making of that POS was a complete sellout buy Pete Townshend. There is a part of me which never forgave him.
I'd be angry too if I ever sat through that abomination in a movie theater.

No such back story for me, though. I got both albums at roughly the same time, in the mid-1980's, and listened to them both straight through. Obviously the Oliver Reed, Ann Margret and (ugh) Jack Nicholson performances are complete jokes and never should have been recorded. But there is a surprising number of tracks (especially the three I mentioned) that are, at least to these ears, better in every way than the original studio versions.

+1

However; I remember being much more "floored" by those tunes at the theater.

I just sat through "My Fair Lady"...my opinion is you should forgive Ken Russell. It must have been hell trying to make musicals in Hollywood. Musicals are a special breed of Hell; just like Adam Sandler movies.

That was Oliver Reed, btw.

Why did I write Oliver Stone? That's weird.

No doubt, the actions of the director were actionable.
