USC WR Robert Woods said his NFL evaluation listed him as a second-round draft choice http://losangeles.sbnation.com/usc-t...ds-usc-trojans |

There are a whole bunch of WRs in that 2nd round area, maybe 7 or 8 guys with 2nd round grades, so at least a couple will drop into the 3rd. Guys like Goodwin and Stills running 4.2s might creep into the 2nd just because of how fast they ran. Swope could rise based on his speed too. I'm not counting on Woods being available in the 3rd... but it's certainly a possibility. |

I am officially on the Jonathan Franklin bandwagon. Should be available in the 3rd, maybe the 4th. Complete back with decent speed and good quickness.

He's another guy with jaw dropping stats 1767 yards rushing, 21TD, 6.4 YPC... and yes, he played in that wacky Oregon system where everyone puts up numbers. But still. That's crazy. Last edited by TheMikeIsHot; 02-24-2013 at 02:58 PM. |

Don't care that Taylor ran a 4.7
I still want this guy. Perfect fit for what we want to do on offense. This might even push him down into the 4th/5th round range. |

Barner is a better between the tackle runner than he is given credit for. Most people think he is a "in space" guy, but he knows how to run.

Wow, Knile Davis ran a 4.37. Interesting prospect as well.

Jerry Rice ran a 4.71 before the Niners drafted him. He sure as hell wasn't that slow on the field. And who cares what the hell these OL run? Bruce Campbell ran a 4.7 a few years back. Has he even started a game since the Raiders drafted him? I guarantee that guys like Warmack and Warford have a way bigger impact at the next level than Lane Johnson and the kid from JMU. |

Franklin is fluid. Really, really sweetening on this guy.

Franklin Randle Bernard Gillislee All very good fits for our WCO, and much faster than Taylor. If we got Taylor, fine. But I'd rather have the 4 I mentioned above. |

We need SPEED at RB for the WCO. You need guys that have that burst of acceleration when you run those draws & screens. ****Brandt listed Powell at 5-10 (1/2) and 207 pounds and being clocked at 4.54**** Last edited by jetster; 02-24-2013 at 03:52 PM. |

That is his timed speed, running on the same track as his peers. That's how fast he is. Maybe his game speed is a little faster, but not by much. On tape, he looks like a marginally athletic, well-rounded player with smarts... and you can get away with that in college. Not so much in the NFL. If given the option of picking Molasses Taylor or a comparably skilled RB (Gillislee, Franklin, Barner, Jamison) with average to above-average speed, I'll take the faster guy every single time. I mentioned OL players running faster just to offer some perspective on how slow Taylor ran. He was in the same class as men 8 inches taller and 100 pound heaver. That's terrible. Taylor didn't look like he was a natural pass catcher all the much to me either. He doesn't have stone hands by any means, but let the ball get to his body a few times.
