Pretty cool. I'm always on the fence for stories like this, I'm not sure if want my kid to be treated any differently... But seeing everyone rush the court and hoist him up, that moment was clearly epic for him...

Understand your point completely but some people simply do not have the ability to do what comes naturally to others. A moment like would likely never come naturally to him.

Much like southside and sex.

What a friggin' mush. The kid can't hit a basket to save his life. Bench the dunce.

Seriously, I would want to shake that coach's hand. Or, if he were at peace with his sexuality, give him a hug. I wish more people were like him, and not the reactionary, political louts often posturing on this site.

Thanks for posting the video, cross.

I dunno...the chick softball players who carried the opposing teamate across the plate and the chick runner who carried her collapsed competitor across the finish line beat Sparky's big day, imho. This seemed a little too scripted, the crowd had blow-ups of Sparky's photo for gawd's sake.

You see these stories more often, that's what it's all about. We had children of special needs in my school district from elementary school up to HS bussed in, one in particular was allowed to sit on the bench and take stats for my Varsity baseball team. He passed away a few years ago at the age of 40, RIP, Mike.
