Correct decision. The 2nd round tender at $2M would have been too high. I'd be shocked if any other team offers him more than the $1.3M to try to steal him away. Let him play at the tender on a 1 year tryout to see if he is worthy of a bigger investment.

Hopefully Austin Howard, however, has been tagged with the 2nd rounder at least.
