Landry and Revis

I find it interesting that Landry has not been linked to one team yet. I'm thinking maybe the Jets told him to wait around for the Revis situation to work itself out, and then they would sign him.

Now, i know there is $3 million in dead money if they trade him. But that is under his current contract. Couldn't they technically re-sign him to a new deal worked out with the acquiring team and then trade him freeing up cap space this year?

The Eagles are reportedly one of the teams that have expressed interest in free agent SS LaRon Landry.

Imagine they get Revis and Landry.

Definitely doesn't seem to be a market for Landry at $6 million (which is also the franchise level). Decent-to-good safeties are being cut across the league for less money.

Maybe Landry's agents wake up at start asking for $3.5-$4.5.

While I would hope that is true to keep Landry, if you remember a couple of years ago they wanted Brad Smith to hold on as well while they tried to get Nhamdi Ashouma (SP) and when they did not sign him to a deal Smith was already signed to a deal in Buffalo.
