Magnus Carlsen going to the big dance b^&**es

Magnus Carlsen qualified today from the World Championship Candidates tournament in Londo., He wins the right to go head to head against Viswanathan ("Vishy") Anand for the world chess championship.

Weird tournament where Carlsen lost his last two games and the loss today took him from 2nd place behind Vladimir Kramnik (who also lost today) into first place on tie breaks.

I know, I know most of you thought baseball opening day for NY teams was probably the biggest sporting event of the day but little did you realize that those games come in a distant third behind this event and Chelsea knocking out Manchester United from the FA Cup.

Here's Magnus losing to a chick. Note the super slo-mo at the 7:54 mark. This is excitement!!

A historical note: This will be the first World Championship match since 1921 that does not include a player from the former USSR.
