I Was Mad At Woody For Keeping Rex, I Get It Now
Woody is punishing Rex, giving him back the humiliation Ryan gave our franchise.
I used to hate Woody for holding onto Rex during the rebuild. Now I think it's the most cool, badass move he ever pulled. Rex can't win 4 games with this group, he's an outcast in the building, his loyal players and lieutenants are gone, he's been reduced to a silenced loudmouth. Might as well let him ride the plane down, next year the new HC escapes the growing pains and gets a fresh start. Loving it. SAR I |

Right now it's a modified re-build. We won't know if it's a complete tank job until we know what they do with Revis. If he gets traded for less than a #1 plus, we'll have confirmation.

Why would Woody want to "punish" Rex rather than fire him? It's nonsensical.
In before 350 upcoming posts... around post #250 it will devolve into a Sanchez debate before being locked. |

I don't see this as some big personal thing - after all despite the OP hate for all things Rex, he's hardly the biggest reason for the current struggles (which I blame more on front office and the whiff on Sanchez). It's a practical thing - why bother bringing in a new coach just to stick him in a short-term terrible rebuilding situation? |

Why don't people just not respond to this guy's threads? I haven't been here that long but every time Ive opened a thread of his it's just an obvious attention grab.
Let his threads just sink to the bottom of the page, that will hurt him more than you know. |

All I have to add to the OP is, there is going to be a great deal of crow being served in Dec. As I have stated elsewhere, Rex is not going to just lay down and your boy Sanchez will be riding the pine, if he even makes the start of the season.

Woody makes out like a bandit by keeping Rex. Here are the reasons why:
1- Does not have to pay 2 head coach salaries this year 2- He has a sacrificial lamb after the upcoming 3 win season 3- No coach wanted the job this year. Next year with tons of cap space and the #1 pick in the draft, the jets job is the #1 open job in the nfl Woody and Idzik played this brilliantly keeping Rex around. Unless Cowher wants the job, look for up and coming offensive mind Darrell Bevell to be the named head coach in 2014. |

SAR might be onto somethin' here.....this is Woodys' master plan to get Teddy Bridgewater with the number one pick next year. Woody knows there's no QB's available this year.

This reminds me of some classic human league:
Rex was working as the head coach of the New York Jets That much is true But his ass is getting canned at the seasons end whether he wins 10 games or he wins 2 The five years hes been coach have been such good times I still love you But now its time to get a big time offensive coach one that actually has a clue |

The same reason why they continue to tune into Francesa's show: they're f*cking morons.
