AROD is open to a trade, the Rangers FO is not. Not a chance in hell, AROD is the only thing going for Texas right now.

Here's the deal that I would do for A-Rod.

You have to try and match A-Rod's salary atleast somewhat.

Mike Piazza, Aaron Heilman, Jae Seo and a couple of minor league prospects. One SS and One Pitcher.

This deal may get it done.

Reyes would have to be part of the deal, since he will suddenly have no place to play if A-Rod shows up. I wouldn't be surprised if Piazza is part of a deal too. He has DH written all over him these days, and the Mets are suddenly looking promising at catcher (Vance Wilson) and first base (Jason Phillips) for the foreseeable future.

Texas desperately needs pitching -you would have to give our best pitching prospect in the minors-Kazmeir at Binghamton to even have a chance.
Also you probably would have to give up Reyes - for A-Rod for shortstop position
