yanks have Torre and the Red Sox have Grady Little. Case closed. That game was well and truly gift-wrapped to the yanks in the 8th with Little not having the balls to pull Martinez. You simply cannot do that and expect to beat the yanks, and you certainly cannot expect to have a job for next season in Boston. Every single Red Sox player played their aaaaaasssss off lastnight.

Hats off to the yanks, they stayed around and played the full game. And anyone who called for Torre's head during this season should have been shot. You should be damn proud to have him as your manager.

I would like to se Torre retire a champion. If the Yanks win the series then maybe he should step down.

Joe Torre = The only manager that Steinbrenner never fired.
