He mis-played the ball hit by Jeter in the 8th inning. He should have caught it and made it two outs with nobody on. He catches that an Pedro is fine.

Could should woulda.

That was one of a handful of plays that could have turned the game.

You're knocking a guy who clinched Game 6 and played his heart out all season. It was Derek Jeter who hit it the other way; give some credit to Jeter. And He's a free agent, and with that lefty stroke, don't be surprised if the Yanks take your rightfielder quite happily.

Along with the Pedro/8th inning fiasco, why did Gump Little make that double swtich that took out Varitek and put in Mirabelli? An extreme case of stupid overmanaging. Mirabelli sucks. Torre learned his lesson with worrying about fast runners when he yanked Giambi for a runner a few times during the season and then had the games go into extra innings to find some scrub making an out every time up. That was just awful. Varitek scared the daylights out of every Yankee fan each time up. Mirabelli was a complete waste against Rivera.

Trot ain't going anywhere. Why they were even considering trading him all season is beyond me. He is their only clutch player.

Without Nixon, this series is over in 6, and maybe in 5!

I understand he's a free agent this off season. We would welcome him in pinstripes. If that would happen, it would be a major loss to the Sox. A lefty hitter, with power. Would look good in the Stadium.
