North Korea has nukes AND they sell arms to any jackass on the street AND they hate us... yet we wouldn't ever invade N Korea. besides the Chinese nearby, N Korea is a mountainous jungle, not a desert.

face it fellas this war had nothing to do with national security and everything to do with economic interest.

Expected response from a liberal.....let's just sit around and do nothing about it...then when the sh!t hits the fan we can all raise our palms upwards and ask, "why did this happen?" <_<

i have posted a very detailed plan for action on several occasions... the most agressive criticism i recieve is "what if it doesn't work, what then?"

well maybe then you go to war NOT before

the BITONTI plan:

-Clean up/consolidate/modernize the Alphabet soup (FBI, CIA, NSA etc)
-Increase Nuclear, Coal, Wind Power
-Increase funding in alternative energies
-MPG Cap on non-commercial vehicles
-Drilling in ANWR
-LOCK DOWN the borders (that means REALLY funding INS and getting their act together, no more incompetant airport screeners etc)
-national ID cards
-Beef up homeland security at vulnerable targets (water, power, landmarks, ports)
-Heavy racial profiling at customs, within country
-Israel is on its own
-Pull out of Saudi, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Uzbeckistan, Georgia, Iraq etc.
-General policy of isolationism in MidEast, no more meddling
-Heavy investment in NASA, inc Moon station and Mars exploration (new technologies always come from such efforts)

the above would work - ALqueda et al don't hate the US way of life so much as the really want to be left alone.

unfortunately as the gov't is so deep in the pockets of Big Oil, Big Auto and Big War that will never happen. It would work though and at a tenth of the price...

people bashed Howard Dean when he said it (and i think he's a tool don't get me wrong) but that statement about how the nation isn't any safer now that Saddam is in custody was 100% accurate. The man has nothing to do with our terrorists. GIs are dying all the time...Iraq could go to civil war (according to the CIA) exactly how are we safer?

I have never seen you post one good thing about conservatives or Republicans. That is not the definition of an Independant - not liberal, not conservative, not democrat, not Republican.
